About
Lou Skrivara
Lou Skrivara writes hardboiled crime fiction set in the Rust Belt cities where the mills closed but the arrangements didn’t. His books are about the people who keep a place running after the official version of it is gone: the foremen, the fixers, the ones who count the loads and keep the books nobody admits exist.
The series
Moldeth City is a dying Ohio lake town where three old crime families stay small and stay out of each other’s way. The books follow the people inside those families as an outside outfit starts using all of them.
- Moldeth City (Book 1). Somebody opened the door. Now the whole city pays.
- Cold Work (Book 2). Six steps into the snow. Then the door closed.
Read them in order. Each book stands on its own, but the cast carries over.
